TSUKUMOYA SHINICHI’S ACCOUNT
Is Orihara Izaya lonely or not? I have been asked that question. This is just my personal opinion. I think he feels lonely, but at the same time satisfied. His love has been, is, and always will be unilateral. It is not that he has never been loved; however, he always denies such love access to him. As long as he loves others, he feels connected to them and satisfied. When he wants to use you, he does allow you to get close to him. But there will still be a thick wall between you and his heart. Sounds pretentious, doesn't it? But those were his very own smug words in my chatroom that day. Talk to him if you want to complain. Though I don't think he even blushed when he said those words. Well. This unblushing attitude, I think, is exactly what keeps him in the advantageous position, whatever the situation. Even so, he still keeps saying things like "Because I love all the humans in this world, all the humans in this world should love me back." Well, whether it's a lie or not, it does sound like something he would say. But if you were to ask me, "Does Orihara Izaya love himself, then?" - I would have no answer for you but silence. That's something only Izaya himself knows. Whatever he chooses to tell you, there is nothing you can do about it. Because even if people try to persuade him to change himself, he would probably never let their words sink into his heart. That is my opinion. Sorry. To be frank with you, I feel embarrassed.

Yann Martel was born in Salamanca, Spain, on June 25, 1963. His parents, both Canadian, served in the Canadian Foreign Services; consequently, the family traveled widely during Martel’s childhood. He studied philosophy at Trent University in Ontario, Canada, graduating in 1985. Martel worked a number of odd jobs to support himself while writing fiction. His first book, a collection of short stories called The Facts Behind the Helsinki Roccamatios, was published in 1993. His first novel, Self, followed in 1996. Like “the author” who narrates Life of Pi, Martel did not achieve much commercial or critical success with either of his earlier books. Life of Pi, on the other hand, became a bestseller upon publication in 2001. It has been translated into more than forty languages and has won several prestigious awards, including the Hugh MacLennan Prize for Fiction, the Man Booker Prize, and the French Le Combat de Livres. The film version directed by Ang Lee premiered in 2012, garnering eleven Academy Award nominations and winning in four categories, including Best Director.…

Hardness is the quality in water that is imparted by the presence of dissolved salts, especially calcium and magnesium. Hardness refers to how many mineral particles there are in water. The harder the water is, higher the contents of minerals. A geologist is a person who specialized in geologic research and study; a hydrologist is a geologist that studies the circulation, distribution, and properties of the waters of the earth and its atmosphere. A particle is a tiny or small bit. A mineral is any of a class of substances occurring in nature. Calcium is a silver-white divalent metal, and magnesium is a light ductile, silver-white, metallic element that burn with a dazzling white light. Such processes may be contrasted with small-scale water sterilization practiced by campers and other people in wilderness areas. Long before you or I were born, there reigned, in a country a great way off, a king who had three sons. This king once fell very ill–so ill that nobody thought he could live. His sons were very much grieved at their father’s sickness; and as they were walking together very mournfully in the garden of the palace, a little old man met them and asked what was the matter. They told him that their father was very ill, and that they were afraid nothing could save him. ’I know what would,’ said the little old man; ’it is the Water of Life. If he could have a draught of it he would be well again; but it is very hard to get.’ Then the eldest son said, ’I will soon find it’: and he went to the sick king, and begged that he might go in search of the Water of Life, as it was the only thing that could save him. ’No,’ said the king. ’I had rather die than place you in such great danger as you must meet with in your journey.’ But he begged so hard that the king let him go; and the prince thought to himself, ’If I bring my father this water, he will make me sole heir to his kingdom.’…
