The fundraisers are first because I think that they are the most important. I think that there the most important because we are raising money for the JROTC program and for the community. The biggest fundraiser that we have done is the cheesecake fundraiser. What we did in that was we went around the neighborhood that we live in and we tried to get the people to by something from the catalog and about 2 weeks later we bring the food that they ordered and give it to them. The JROTC program that we have we have done a wide variety of community wide cleanups in the fountain community.
Last weekend the entire battalion had done a clean up in fountain. We have done about 5 community wide clean ups in fountain. We also march in a lot of parades. In the beginning of the year we marched in the labor day parade. Then later on we did the veterans day parade. But the community wide clean are more important than the marches that we did. When we did the clean ups we did such great jobs the people that work at town hall sent the sgt majors email on how good we did. But this next paragraph is very important to the mission of
JROTC.
This paragraph is about what we had learned in the class room about becoming better citizens. One of the most important to me that we learned is the sexual harassment part of JROTC. We learned how to tell between sexual harassment and friends messing around. Most people think that this is not an important skill to learn but this is very important. Just in case yo do see sexual harassment you know how to handle the situation the right way. Another thing that we had learned in the class room is that we can do community wide stuff for the community without having to be In the JROTC program. You can do community wid clean ups with your friends or with your family.
This program has taught me how to become a better citizen in so many ways. That is why I am glad to be returning to the program for the rest of high school. An I hope that new cadets later will be able to become a better citizen with the JROTC program like I did
