Purpose Of The CQMC
I chose to describe the CQC and NMC.
The CQC stands for Care Quality Commission. It is an independent organisation of Health and Social Care in England. It defines as an executive non-department. Their role is to check, monitor and investigate all the hospitals/care homes that are registered with them, keeping in mind the law, with their aim to provide better health for the people. In cases where the services are performing poor, the CQC ensures that they improve that by implementing certain rules, which must be followed to avoid further action, such as closure. Their main aim is to improve quality of service for the general public.
Once the service is registered with the CQC, they carry their inspections by listening to the public. They do …show more content…
When the services are poor they can issue a fine as-well as take them to court if they feel the service is incapable of providing beneficial care.
The Nursing and Midwifery council (NMC), take charge of Nurses and Midwives across England. They have a conduct which is given to Nurses and Midwives in order for them to begin their training and also register them to work in the UK. Their aim is to give an effective care to other people, by implementing the code and conduct in an accurate …show more content…

The adult nurses can work in a different field, but may need to have knowledge about pregnancy in a case of emergency so they can assist the ostial, but as for the midwives, the have only one specific area to operate, labour and deliver.
RESPONSIBILTIES
A midwife has the responsibility to monitor the postnatal period and check the health of the unborn baby, after the baby is born they can provide hygiene and nutrition for up to 5 years. In case of emergency they refer to a specific doctor that can help in the situation.
Adult nurses have to observe, monitor and maintain the records of the patients’ condition and also communicating with the doctors/other Health care staff.
