All different types of people whom have created calendars reflect time within their cultures to show the various types of ways of encountering and organizing “time” everywhere. Their calendars show us the way of how developing their cultures influenced their beliefs and how the ways of creating things are affected. The purpose of the Mayan, Egyptian, and Gregorian calendars was to explain how the world moves since the moon's change and days and days pass. These calendar developments changed the qualities of their cultures since the Mayan, Egyptian, and Gregorians had to work around the new things they were learning from what they were normally used to. Believing things after having experience could also have been the reason as to why the Mayans, Egyptians, and Gregorians put things down onto their calendars. The Mayan calendar is one of the oldest known calendars ever found. Apparently, because of this calendar it was believed that the end of the world would have been on December 21, 2012, however their theory was false. Mayan people used charts to keep track of the cycles of their calendar, it could also be referred to as a calculator. This type of calculator was used to keep track of the moon ages. Because of their culture and beliefs they predicted that December 21 would be the day of the end of the world. This was because that day marked the end of the cycle for the calendar.
