Why did you wake up this morning? Is there a specific reason? Life is full of activities and experiences. It is important to examine why we partake in these activities and deliberately place ourselves in specific situations. I have made the choice to pursue an education because it will help my career, it will make me a better person, and I believe it is a goal everyone should pursue. I have started on a certain career path and education is a vital part of my success. Enhancing my available skills should make life in general less challenging. Building a strong foundation and continuing to add to it should serve me long into the future. First I have to examine why I made the decision to begin taking college classes. I am a proud member of the United States Air Force. There are certain requirements that I have to meet in order to compete for possible promotions. A person in any job wants to do well and succeed at what they do. In order for me to receive excellent ratings and put myself in the best position for success the Air Force has made it clear that I am expected to pursue a college-level education. The Air Force is also the only service to offer a college degree for college classes combined with military training. There is no excuse for not attending college classes. However my main reason for going to school was still to help myself. The more education I have results in a higher rating when compared to my peers that lack the same education. That puts me in the best position to earn a promotion and a pay raise. My initial reason to return to school is clear and now I see even more reasons to continue what I’ve started. This is certainly a great time to go to school. More people than ever before are pursuing college educations. When I prepare to leave the military and pursue other opportunities I feel it will be
