Putting On Your Pants
The task I chose for this paper is called putting on your pants. I choose this task because it was much easier to do with my son than the other tasks I thought of doing. At first I chose the task of putting on shoes, then I chose how to make the bed, then I chose folding laundry, but explaining how to do these tasks was too difficult. I’m better at showing the person how to do the task rather than writing it

    Unready to Wear

In the story of "Unready to Wear", it focuses on the negative aspects of "wearing" a body. Some of these negative characteristics include, having to bathe it, feed it, get it vaccinated, and keep it in shape. For those who do not care for the body, are called "amphibians", people who are one with their psyche. Although, being amphibious may be less of a hassle, there are also many positive aspects of "wearing" a body. Just because you float around without "wearing" a body, doesn't mean you'll undergo the true emotion and the unexplainable sensation you get when you're in a body. For example, people who skydive, drag race or go river rafting live for the adrenaline rush that you physically feel. In addition, anyone "wearing" a body can experience so much more than simply a feel or being in that moment. Like those who are very affectionate and enjoy the experience of physical attraction, they would not choose to be amphibious, because they like the feel of their lovers' body, and they literally undergo an emotion that nothing else can create. Besides being able to feel, in general, people love to live. Those simples things in life, and being able to smell freshly baked cookies, feeling the wind glide across your face, and seeing a love one happy, it's those things that make a life worth living. When you live you learn, it's a story that ends with beginnings, makes us laugh and cry. It's a person called ‘spontaneous', and when you're a mind there's nothing worse then not having it follow you back home. People who chose to be ‘amphibious' are afraid of it, they fear change and death. It is what everyone goes through, life is life, if you are a psyche, what in the world can you do? Live forever, and then what? It's the question that amphibious people with be asked, "What happens…

    Clothes

What do you do, when you're about to get married to a complete stranger, who lives on the other side of the world? How do you cope with being removed from everything you know, and placed in a completely different culture? Clothes is a story about a woman's life, which is about to be turned upside down. A marriage with a man she barely knows sends her across the ocean to the daunting world of L.A. Clothes os a short story of love, arranged marriage and clothing, with Sumita as the main character. Sumita seems like a very kind, yet naïve young woman. She believes in the American beauty and that everything there is colourful and brilliant. She is quite anxious for her future, and the thought of going across seas to live with complete strangers, but the thought of her husbands shop and her beautiful saris make her take the journey, not that she has much of a choice. Though naïve and sometimes childish, she also has a sense of responsibility, and want to her her husband4. She is anxious of her future, and she's afraid of having to move all the way to America. Even though she is scared, she also seems excited, since she keeps talking about her soon-to-be-husband's shop. She seems very kind and loving in the way she talks to Somesh and the way she wants to help him. Sumita can be described as a round characters, since the definition of this term is a main character, that develops throughout the story. Sumita does exactly this. She changes from being a naïve, young girl with fear of the unknown, to a responsible woman, who is widowed at much too young an age and now leaves to follow her dreams. When Somesh was alive, none of them dared to say a word against his parents, but now Sumita no longer feels related to them. Even though she is mourning over the loss of Somesh, I think she is mostly upset about her loss of the American dream, so she sets off to find it on her own.…

Sweat slowly trickled down the side of my face. Every second brought a sharp “tick!” from the clock; every second caused my stomach to sink lower and lower. I started to feel the pressure increasing second by second as time crept closer and closer to the deadline. Hastily, I wrote my introduction like it was nothing; a simple four sentence introductory paragraph. Words were flying through my head, channeling all the way down to my fingers. Abruptly, I looked at the clock and it was already 11:31 PM. I told myself, “I can do this. It’s a lot easier than I thought!”. I felt the adrenaline rush kick in as I started to write my body paragraph. I craved the euphoria that I felt as I wrote my essay; the pressure that overwhelmed me was simultaneously fuel to my mind.…

The tasks we chose were more accomplishable than others since we were limited by our schedules. I was in class when Enzo saw more or less 3 celebrities. I also didn’t know how to ride a bicycle and QC Circle is relatively far. We took a video for our ADMU crush but we weren’t able to post it in Youtube. We didn’t do anything from the list of optional tasks since it involved going someplace far. It was hard to find a rally more so to join one and I didn’t know how to commute to Intramuros and my mom won’t allow me also if it’s just me and my…
