Pyramids Of Giza Research Paper

The Pyramids of Giza were built during 2550 to 2490 B.C. The three names of the pyramids of Giza are Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. They are located on the Giza plateau , outside of the city of El Giza, Egypt. The Pyramid of Khufu is the tallest of the three pyramids(481 ft). It´s the tomb of Pharaoh Khufu. The pyramid took about 14-20 years to complete and was completed around 2560 BC. It's made up of about 2,300,000 stone blocks, each one weighing 2-30 tons. The pyramid of Khufu is the only 8 sided pyramid. This phenomenon can only be seen from the air during the spring and autumn equinoxes. The pyramid of Khufu was the tallest structure in the world for 3,800 years.
The second pyramid of Giza is the Pyramid of Khafre its almost as tall as the pyramid of
Khufu measuring at 441 ft tall. Its built on 30 ft of bedrock giving the illusion that it's taller than The Pyramid of Khufu.This Pyramid is tomb to Pharaoh Khafre son of Khufu and his successor. It took 26 years to built and it has a sphinx in front of it. The sphinx depicts pharaoh Khafre having a lion body with his human head being the only human part on it. Khare was the fourth king of
King Menkaure was the sixth Pharaoh of the fourth dynasty.
The Pyramids of Giza were one of the seven wonders of the world. The pyramids were once covered in white casing made of glimmering limestone. Not a single hieroglyphic has been found in the great pyramid of Giza. The pyramids were built to last forever , which they have since they have lasted for almost 4,000 year.
