The purpose of this qualitative exploratory case study is to develop new strategies and initiatives to improve employee participation in wellness programs. The significance of the study is the lack of employee participation is preventing the strategy of combating rising health care with the use of wellness programs from success. The nature of the study will explore the lived experiences of 20 professionals with the use of a qualitative exploratory case study. The primary research question for this study is what can organizational leaders do to improve employee participation in wellness programs. This study will also have three other research questions aimed to answer what strategies and initiatives can organizational leaders develop to improve employee participation in wellness
