Social prejudice against people of color is a dominant issue in the modern times. Over the years, social science researchers have debated against this phenomenon raising various causes. Recent cases of police shootings towards the black people in the United States have sparked tension. History enlightened us of periods when the black people faced discrimination in sociopolitical grounds. Social researchers have advanced various theories speculating on the social aspects that cause such heinous acts. The supremacy perception of classification of race and ethnicity has resulted in discussions across the globe. It is sad that there are still cases of racial discrimination in the 21st century in a first world country. Social scientists link the superiority traits to ideological perspectives where one race believes that they are superior to others and should govern everyone.

This approach enables the researcher to investigate the reasons, develop a hypothesis and uncover the facts. The main aim of qualitative research is to identify the social aspect of the subject matter. The data collection methods are classified into two; semi-structured and unstructured methods. The techniques include ethnography, interviews, questionnaires, participant observation (Mcleod, 2017). Quantitative research refers to collecting data and capturing it in numerical form before analysis (Mcleod, 2017). This approach quantifies specific variables of a large sample of graphs and tables to investigate facts.
