Queen Elizabeth 1 Character Analysis
One of the leaders that I find most inspiring is Queen Elizabeth I. To me, Queen Elizabeth I represents the epitome of a powerful woman. She was clearly good at negotiating with and listening to others as she was able to convince her half sister, Mary, that she was not a threat. Additionally, she demonstrated an excellent ability to empathize with her subjects since while she did re-establish Protestantism, she was tolerant to all religious practices that were conducted in private. She also positively influenced her followers by visiting her troops at Tilbury and giving an incredibly motivating speech. She showed respect for her subjects by meeting with them personally and making them feel as though their opinions mattered. Additionally, by …show more content…
One of the most important traits of an excellent leader is his or her ability to listen. A leader must be willing to listen to his or her followers so that he or she can synthesize their ideas into something powerful and so that he or she can ensure that the followers remain in perfect harmony with each other. Listening is also a fantastic way for a leader to demonstrate that he or she has great respect for his or her followers. A good leader is essentially a servant leader. A good leader should be able to lead by example, showing commitment to their teachings by participating in and serving alongside his or her followers. A good leader also needs an excellent sense of empathy and great organizational abilities so that he or she can keep his or her group on track while developing a personal relationship with all followers. A good leader demonstrates leadership by serving alongside his or her followers and showing them the utmost respect while always taking their well being into consideration. My cultural background impacts my understanding of leadership by constantly exposing me to western individualism. Western society teacher me that individuals are all responsible for their own actions thus when leading it is best to take that fact into account and view all followers as unique individuals

Leaders are everywhere in our world. They constantly surround us and tell us what to do. Leaders have shaped our history and are constantly shaping our future. Some excellent examples of good leaders are Adolf Hitler and Julius Caesar. We might not agree with some of the policies that Hitler performed, however, we can conclude that his excellent leadership skills allowed him to effectively govern about 69 million citizens. Caesar’s quick and decisive personality granted Caesar the title, Dictator, of the Roman Empire. Under Caesar’s rule, the Roman Empire vastly expanded its borders through military annexations. But, with all things foretold, what designates someone the power to lead people? There are several factors that bring about a good leader. The three main factors incorporate communication, confidence, and commitment. Anybody that decides to encompass these factors, will not only be a good leader, but they will also be an effective and a revolutionary leader.…

I believe that a good leader/Christian leader must have many positive qualities and characteristics about themselves to rule. The six characteristics I picked that a good leader should be are; perseverance and endurance, proactive, open-minded, merciful, faithful and loyal, and patient. I believe that an excellent leader should persevere to reach his or her goals in life and in helping their subjects, and that a great leader must endure multiple hardships and struggles in order to grow stronger. Having perseverance and being proactive are closely related. A person who is proactive takes action to make something happen. To become a proactive leader, one must have perseverance and this helps them strive towards their goal. For a Christian leader, I think that being open-minded allows a leader to be more open towards new ideas and accept them so the leader can strive to be a better person morally and politically. “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” (5th Beatitude) A good Christian leader should also show mercy and not be too harsh on one’s subjects. If a leader is merciful to his or her subjects, loyalty and love will be shown to the leader.…

While he has goals to accomplish, he consistently cares for the individuals that support him. A good leader is not a selfish individual only thinking about his wants and needs. Also, a good leader is determined in attaining his goals. It is undeniably true that the key to leadership is accomplishing the tasks at hand while building relationships.…

Every leader should have a good foundation and a good outlook on what has to be done to be successful. Leaders have to be honest and cannot be bias because a good leader always tells the truth and does what he or she thinks would be the honest decision. They cannot be bias because they have to be able to make decisions without favouring one side of the story and ultimately prosecuting the wrong person or side. A successful leader has to be determined, they have to set out to accomplish a goal and not give up no matter what obstacles may be waiting. Loyalty is another key point to being a superior leader; a leader has to be loyal to his or her country. Beyond those a leader must be caring, motivational and supportive.
