Queen Of The Lumen Cities: A Short Story
The crowd settled as a podium was wheeled out and on the flat just before the grand stairs. Hushed tones and awed murmurs spread as the queen strutted into view, taking her place behind the microphone.
“Queens, kings, Individualities, and Citizens.” She spoke with authority, a modest smile growing on her face. “Welcome.”
The Queen of The Lumen Cities, a rather short, curvy woman who would gladly and proudly tell of her country. She had the complete trust and adoration of her people. Rightfully so. The king before her almost destroyed Lumen by pillaging the country of every entity that was a threat to him.
“Here today, I strengthen the bond between all of our countries. No longer will I allow the bad blood of history to direct our paths.”

The kings and queens clapping, exalted. No more war, no more bloodshed. And a new task at hand. Although peace never stays for too long. The queen said her last words using grand gestures.
"Let the gala begin!" The lady descended down the grand staircase, the crowd dipping into excited babble while talking among themselves. A few press members holding her up with pictures and words to spread to the public, before they were promptly escorted out.
She searched the crowd, shook hands with officials and chatted with many people who found such honor in just being so close to the dearest Lady of Manipulation. Soon after an announcement was made by the Vice. All persons that are not kings nor queens are to say their goodbyes and part ways.
The large ballroom was filled to the brim with a foggy silence. Within it seven queens and two kings. And then with an earsplitting chorus of squeals the seven merged into a group of one. The queens letting out gleeful screams as they collided into a large cluster of hugs and
