However, I think it will offer more meaning to the film by understanding those references. In that way, it encourages the audiences to think, not just about the movie itself but also about the society. Tarantino does just sample from others film, but also from his preview or even future work. He states that he has two universes in his brain, one is the universe that all those characters inhabit, and the other one is the universe that exists in his movies. Thus, all of those characters in his film can be seen as real persons. And then the movie is not just showing a ridiculous story but more importantly reflecting our world and society. To that point, if the audiences recognize more of the samplings in the film, they would understand more about Tarantino’s real intention and to know what he really wants to say through the film.
