Why is it that the United States, which is held out to be the greatest country in the world to live in by many and using many different standards, is the only Western country that does not have some form of socialized medicine? One reason is that opponents continue to refer to any universal health care program as just that, socialized medicine. The label alone is enough to prevent many people from supporting such an effort, without looking any deeper to the facts of the situation or the solutions it offers. The connotation behind the expression socialized medicine is that it is a system that belongs in a communist run country. Socialized medicine refers to a health care delivery system where the hospitals are owned by the government and the doctors and other caregivers, whether in a hospital, office or other setting, are all government employees. And while I agree that this is not the system that would be effective for this country and our problems, we do need a system of universal health care for many reasons.…

Everybody knows the conflict between Palestine and Israel, it is a conflict that has been going on for over a hundred years. The conflict, in fact, is so old and known that you can find it in any history books, and it is taught in any history class. The conflict begins in the early 1800’s, Jews were being persecuted in Europe. Originally the Jews owned the Holy land, Jerusalem, but were kicked out. From 1920 to 1947, the British declared the “Promised land” to the Jews as a payback for all the persecution they went through hundreds of years before. The increasing number of Jewish people immigrating to the “Holy Land” increased tensions in the region. The State of Israel was ratified on May 14 1948, but the Arab states rejected the partition of Palestine and the existence of Israel. Many wars were fought between the Muslim Arabs and the Jewish Israelis for who controlled the land. Till this day the Jews and Muslims are in bitter disagreement. And violence and war are the only way they choose to handle things. Many peaceful attempts have been made by other countries to stop this gruesome conflict that affects so many people. The most famous example is the…

    i) Model of Consumer Buying: The consumer market is defined as end user markets. Also called Business to Consumer markets, or B2C markets, the product and service offering is bought by the consumer for his personal use. The decision making process in consumer markets is different from the one that takes place in business or industrial markets. According to Kotler and Armstrong, the basic model of consumer decision making process comprises three major components, viz., marketing and other stimuli (these act as influences), the buyer’s black box (these are related to the consumer) and the buyer responses (this is the response part). The components/processes as well as the working dynamics are explained as follows: 1. Marketing and other stimuli: A consumer is confronted with a stimulus in the environment. This stimulus could be of two kinds; a) One that is presented by the marketer through the marketing mix or the 4Ps, product, price, place and promotion; -product: attributes, features, appearance, packaging etc. -price: cost, value, esteem (prestige) -place: location and convenience, accessibility -promotion: advertising, sales promotion, personal selling, publicity, direct marketing.…

Service provision is often an economic activity where the buyer does not generally, except by exclusive contract, obtain exclusive ownership of the thing purchased. The benefits of such a service, if priced, are held to be self-evident in the buyer 's willingness to pay for it. Public services are those, that society (nation state, fiscal union, regional) as a whole pays for, through taxes and other means. By composing and orchestrating the appropriate level of resources, skill, ingenuity, and experience for effecting specific benefits for service consumers, service providers participate in an economy without the restrictions of carrying inventory (stock) or the need to concern themselves with bulky raw materials. On the other hand, their investment in expertise does require consistent service marketing and upgrading in the face of competition. Services marketing is a sub field of marketing which covers the marketing of both goods and services. Goods marketing includes the marketing of fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) and durables. Services marketing typically refers to the marketing of both business to consumer (B2C) and business to business (B2B) services. Common examples of service marketing are found in telecommunications, air travel, health care, financial services, all types of hospitality services, car rental services, and professional services. Services are economic activities, rather than tangible products, offered by one party to another. Rendering a service to recipients, objects, or other assets depends on a time-sensitive performance to bring about the desired result. In exchange for money, time, and effort, service customers expect value from access to goods, labor, professional skills, facilities, networks, and systems; but they do not normally take ownership of any of the physical elements involved.…
