The cell phone industry is devastated by increasing competition and the declining economy. The customer service department in the cell phone industry is rising to levels that are leading AT&T’s management to evaluate options to promote sales during this tough economic time. The focus of AT&T to survive, continue to be competitive and make a profit. The recent histories of struggles they are encountering are mainly due to the poor customer service and low ratings of services. AT&T has had to develop and execute plans to improve their business to retain a strong company. AT&T’s management team has requested a research team using a survey as the main instrument to help understand the customer concerns and desires to prevent them from seeking service from another cell phone company. The research conducted will provide management with some insight into the reasons customers will continue to utilize AT&T as their primary cell phone company of choice (AT&T, 2014).…

"Gryphon" is a short story by Charles Baxter that was published in 1985. The first person point of view Baxter chose allows us to understand the story better. It also allows Tommy to portray his personal feelings toward his substitute teacher, Miss Ferenczi. The diction Baxter uses for Miss Ferenczi is rather interesting. Sometimes, when she talks to the children, she uses words that most forth grade children wouldn't understand. Our understanding of why Baxter chose her complex and confusing diction is to expand the minds of the students. Miss Ferenczi changed Mr. Hibler's forth grade students.…

In today’s society cellular devices are not only popular in the United States, but in many other countries worldwide. Not only do cell phones contribute to one’s personal life, but business use as well. Most people have hectic lives, and using a device to help schedule appointments, send out mass text messages, or even remind you to call back your boss, is unimaginably convenient. Cell phones within the past five years have reached mile stones compared to the phones used back when cell phones were first invented. Even though there is still a diverse range for cell phones on the market, the two most popular brands seem to create an argument on choosing the right phone, Apple and Android. Each with impressively fast processors, and new and innovative technology, there brings up a valid question, which brand is right for you?…

Four years ago, I met someone who I now consider a dear friend, his name is Vojmir Benak. He prefers to be called Buddy. I have also become very good friends with his family. Every member of his family are also members of a physical education organization, called SOKOL. My friend happens to be the president, and manager of Sokol Hall. I have been employed there for almost a year. The last four years I have had the opportunity to learn a lot about Sokol. It is a name I remember hearing for the first time when I was in grade school. It was associated with gymnastics. For a long time I had a real desire to sign up for classes. My interest came from a feeling I had while watching competitions on television. I wanted to learn how to do the flips, and jumps on those beams and bars. Now as an adult, my thoughts and views on what Sokol means have changed. My interests are different. Now I know of the hall to be used for events, such as Fight Club, wild game feeds, and even music concerts. Other things I know Sokol Hall for are wedding receptions and birthday parties. Times in peoples’ lives where memories are made, and intimate moments are shared. Up until I met my friend, and then later began working at the hall, I have never wondered what the name Sokol meant. I knew what Sokol meant for me growing up as a child, and even now as an adult, and a resident of Omaha, but not for them. These people come from a whole different world. They have a whole different background and cultural. The stuff I learned about in history class. I never really had an interest in things that happened before my time.…

Sitting in a room when one looks around, majority of the people in that room are usually on their cell phones. People have begun to cut out human contact with one another and have become so focused on what is going on, on their phones. Cellphones have become an important part in most of our lives and picking a phone today has become just as stressful as buying a house or a new car. Most people own a smartphone, and in today’s society there is a big controversy over two particular smartphones on the market and which one is better. The iPhone 5 an apple product, and the Samsung Galaxy S4 a Google product. Each phone is admired for different reasons such as its appearance, size and new technology built within the phone. While both of these phones have a lot in common, there are some rather large differences that can persuade a buyer’s opinion to go either way.…
