I believe that Susan Cain intended to reach a certain audience, that audience would be individuals who assume that extroverts are consider the new "norm". In reality introverts make equal to or more so of an impact in our community, or environment. Cain then proceeds to inform her audience of profound accomplishments from well known introverts.

I believe Cain is presenting these outstanding accomplishments made by introverts to display and inform her audience that introverts are more than just individuals who sit in their homes, or keep to themselves. Introverts, compared to extroverts, are knowledgeable, driven people who are equally accomplished.
7) What is your own response to Cain's analysis? Do you consider yourself an introvert or an extrovert? How do you think whether you're and introvert or extrovert effects how other view you? How does it influence your chances of success? I found it interesting that Cain mentioned that introverts, while at work or school maintain an extrovert personality. I find myself in-between both, I truly love connecting with people and networking, but because my job requires me to do so, that is the last thing I would enjoy doing after my shift. I believe that communication and verbal skills are what make you successful, but those are not the only ways to reach success.
