R-5122 does not apply to the first point which is that the primary givers are experts on their child. I personally think that the educator is the expert when it comes to the child’s education as the teacher is the one that is assessing formally and informally. On the second point, the family cannot really make the final decision on what the child will receive for a grade. However, the family and decide what steps they will take in order to help the child succeed. The third point is applicable as the family is the nucleus in the child’s life and indeed are the constant and are the service providers. This however, does not limit the school to become providers of services that the child might need in order to excel socially and academically. The fourth point is a tricky one, the parents do make the final decisions and as educators and administrators we must respect their priorities. Many families have different cultural backgrounds that might not embrace high
