R&T play leads to health development, because children can learn the give-and-take of appropriate social interactions, and learn to read and understand boy language. It also supports cardiovascular health and meets many children’s needs for nurturing touch. Researchers have noticed benefits to R&T play in preschooler classroom (French & Pena, 1991; Logue & Shelton, 2008).
