RUFF Ruiff Monologue
RUFF RUFF. AWOOOOOOO!

Ruff..?

A blinding white flash encompassed the land and, a deafening, loud, booming sound came and changed it all.

YOU HAVE GAINED SENTIENCE!

‘Where am I? What am I?... Who am I?’ I thought as woke up in dense ocean of green trees. I could have sworn I was just recently waiting for my master to return. A blue transparent screen was floating only 10 inches from my face. What were these words? I didn’t know what words like sentience was, or “gained” it was a funny word.

I looked around, I was not alone. Some distance away I could hear and smell critters, and possibly other dogs.

RUFF RUFF!

NEW LANGUAGE CREATED: ‘RUFFISH’

Ignoring the screen I ran as fast as my legs could take me for my master, I was

“Ahem!” I interrupt them with a short cough, they all look at me with worry in their eyes, quick flashes of fear then finally trust.

“Friends, have you seen my master, I have just woken up from my nap, last thing I remember was the big light.” I continued.

They do not reply only looking at me, the bigger doberman responds finally. “We are also facing the same problems… friend… We all have woken up recently as well.”

“Yes, the light! It was so bright, one thing i know for sure is that my favorite tree is still here” The german shepherd walked over to the tree. It reeked of his piss. “Next to this tree was my house, and my masters home! But here we are standing and no masters home!” he continued rambling.

“I’m scared…” the great dane said as he whined in sadness. If there was one thing I could collect with my newfound “setience” is that where ever our masters are, they are gone.

YOU HAVE GAINED A TITLE: THINKER

None of these made any sense to me, but every time these “statuses” appeared something good would follow. Concentrating on it information of it was displayed.

Days and nights would pass by with Barbara unable to spot any difference in between. The routine had been formed; she’d wake up, go to work, visit the elderly house, return home to sleep. Repeat. RIP Chloe Henry. I didn't really know her that much. We used to go to school together and even though we were both really young I remember your kindnes. All I hear people say about you is how much you cared about everyone and how nice and sweet you were. It's not fair to anyone to have to go through what happened to you. And it's not fair for any parents to have their child pass away. It's not fair how young you were and how many things you never had a chance to do. When I found out about this it made me feel absolutely terrible and I still do whenever I think about this injustice. We all love you and pray for you. You did nothing to deserve this. It makes me so fucking pissed off this happened I don’t understand how this coud be done. We all…

A lot has happened since the day that I stood on Boo Radley’s porch and looked out into the street. I had finally been able to see the world from his perspective. From that day forward, I vowed that I would one day teach my children the wise words that Atticus Finch had taught me when I was a child. Seventeen years have passed since that day.…

In the second grade, I had a crippling fear of my teacher, who loved to play, “Let's pick on all the students who aren’t raising their hands.” In my imagination, school was where carnivorous teachers scanned the classroom, looking to slaughter the most helpless creatures. And it seemed like this one had clear intentions of mounting my prized head on the wall. This meant that I suffered from a chronic case of rapid heartbeat, timid eye contact, and tense palms that left imprints of red crescent moons on my thighs.…
