Typically it is used to influence people to rise above these racist actions. But, the internet keeps racism alive by constantly being a hot topic on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube. These main social media outlets have billions of users who each have their own opinion. We would basically have to stop talking about racism to vanish. Act like it does not exist. But, with these social media outlets, we are stuck on a constant up hill that will lead to us at each other’s throats. Television isn’t helping either.
