There is the title then one long verse .There is no particular rhythm scheme, but there are a few lines that have a rhythm beat for example “why do people have to be so mean and “why do people judge each other”.
A number of poetic techniques are used. There is a simile in the 7th line when it says “so many people suffering” “like were in a war that never ends”. And a metaphor in the 6th line which is “ So many people judged by their race“ Also adjectives are used to describe racism for example ,suffering, mean, and also words such as wonderful, love, and joy to describe the world without racism.
In conclusion “Racism is all around” is a successful poem that is because it effectively describes racism and the feelings of the people effected. Poetic techniques are effectively used to help send the message across faster and more effectively. The poem’s message is to make an end to racism and make everyone love each other no matter what background they are from. The aim of the poem is to make the readers affecting by the poem by making them make feel the pain of an affected person. In the end I truly hope that after reading this poem people will stop judging each other for a reason that they can’t change this the way that they were created and nobody can change that. Everyone has something special about them but not everyone can see it everyone is beautiful in their own
