In the film Radioactive Wolves, I learned about the return of nature and animals to the devastated “Zone” that encompasses the 11,000 sq. ft. area that was affected by the meltdown of the Chernobyl nuclear plant in 1986. Researchers found that the wolfs were coming back into the "Zones" and found the other animals were to. They wanted to know why and how so they sent researchers in the "Zone" to …show more content…
From the meltdown of the plant the radioactive spread from the air and in the ground making it uninhabitable for humans. People had to move away from there homes and relocate to some place safe. So they wouldn’t get radiation poise and get sick or die. They called the area that was effected the "Zone" and people are no longer aloud to live there. Researchers who study the radioactive site have found wolves were showing up often. Researchers and wildlife experts can only go in the "Zone" for a short time and must be very carful because of the radioactive in the "Zone". Researchers have taken pictures and tracked the wolves movements by putting trackers on them. Both have found that the wolves keep coming back because there are other wildlife around the "Zone", like beavers. The contaminated land had farms and trenchers for the water, without people the trencher got overfilled with water and become the rivers and ponds. By them coming back, the wolves have a food source and they don’t have to worry about people tiring to hunt them. These are the causes of why the wolves keep coming back in the "Zone" because there no people to harm them and they can hunt other animals
