I am interested in radiography because it involves both individual patient care and also sophisticated equipment. I also like the various departments where radiographers can use their skills from ante-natal care to old age and from routine screening to severe trauma. Through the research I have also found that forensic investigations are also part of radiography which I would like to explore in the future.
Whilst learning and working at the same time I am now able to effectively balance work and study which I believe will help throughout the clinical placements that course offers and also further in the career which because of the high demand is now a 24-hour day service.
I was given an insight of the day to day life of the radiographer at the Whipps Cross Hospital where I had a chance to talk to the qualified radiographers and also see the various procedures.
