Strolling down the field of long columns engulfed in rows of wheat and barley occupied my day. The rays of the bright and scorching sun permeated the Greek sky. I remember the cultivation of crops that takes place year around, and the garnering of those crops that diminish the array of produce that span for miles along the vastness of the field. An unexpected cool stream of breeze rustles my brands of immaculate, blond hair. Being the goddess of agriculture, it is my duty to be at the helm of the cultivating and harvesting process that constitute my yearly routine.…

Some facial recognition algorithms identify facial features by extracting landmarks, or features, from an image of the subject's face. For example, an algorithm may analyze the relative position, size, and/or shape of the eyes, nose, cheekbones, and jaw. These features are then used to search for other images with matching features. Other algorithms normalize a gallery of face images and then compress the face data, only saving the data in the image that is useful for face detection. A probe image is then compared with the face data. One of the earliest successful systems is based on template matching techniques applied to a set of salient facial features, providing a sort of compressed face representation.…

Abstract— This paper explores a comparative study of both the linear and kernel implementations of three of the most popular Appearance-based Face Recognition projection classes, these being the methodologies of Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) and Independent Component Analysis (ICA). The experimental procedure provides a platform of equal working conditions and examines the ten algorithms in the categories of expression, illumination, occlusion and temporal delay. The results are then evaluated based on a sequential combination of assessment tools that facilitate both intuitive and statistical decisiveness among the intra and inter-class comparisons. The ‘best’ categorical algorithms are then incorporated into a hybrid methodology, where the advantageous effects of fusion strategies are considered.…

Texture profile analysis was performed as per the method used by Reddy and Khairnar (2015). The size of the cutlet used for TPA (two-cycle compression test) was 3.0 cm x 4.0 cm (diameter x height). TPA was carried out using a Taxt-plus Texture Analyzer (Stable Micro Systems Ltd., Surrey, UK), attached with a 50 kg load cell. A 75 mm diameter compression platen was used with a pre test speed of 1 mm/ sec; test speed of 1 mm/sec and post-test speed of 1 mm/sec. The cutlets were compressed twice to 50 % of the original height at room temperature (30oC) in auto force mode (20 g) and the time gap between first and second compression was 10 sec. Six measurements were made for each sample…

Firstly I would like to introduce myself as an undergraduate student of the Bachelor of Engineering program from Adam’s Engineering College, one of the most prestigious institutions of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad. I have completed my course of engineering in the field of 'Electronics and Communication Engineering’, which was for a period of four years. I graduated in the first class with distinction. Hence, having done an inspiring four-year course in Electronics and Communications Engineering, I would like to put to use this knowledge to do my Masters in Telecommunications. This would give me the leading edge in technology. For the past few decades man is advancing into the unknown realms of technology and science. This advancement is to make life easy and to increase human comfort at home and at work and I would like to be an integral part of such betterment. For this, master’s degree and research would be of prime importance with hands on experience in real time applications accompanied by in-depth knowledge of the subject. Technology, today, means power in the widest sense of the term and not merely the power of mind. And it is this power potential that has given it the status it now enjoys. While all this is generally true, since India has been a late comer in the field of Telecommunications, it has to make up an enormous leeway.…

Diploma in E&TC was a precursor to make me think over telecom sector and which cleared undoubted growth of the domain in coming years. During the time of professional experience in Larsen & Toubro, Mumbai I was very well convinced towards radical growth of telecom & networks sector in the decade of 2000-10 and potentiality of same in future days. While working on ONGC project, there was demand from client for modifications of communication system across the oil well & process platforms, where I learned the successful application of latest communication technologies and advancement into core engineering sector. Along with this we bagged the most prestigious “L&T ICON” award for completion of the project.…
