The plane hit the river. Quickly, large gushes started to fill the plane. The frigid water made Jonas’s feet numb. The stewardesses calmly announced, “We will evacuate the plane.” The doors opened and large inflatable slides popped up from every exit door. People were rushing to get out. Jonas noticed a lady crawling over the seats with a wrapped-up baby in her arms. Older people struggled with the incoming current. People were trembling and their faces looked pale from the shock and the freezing temperature of the water.
