Raisin In The Sun Alienation Society

In the book A Raisin in the Sun the author highlighted the values of a society through the characters who were alienated from the society because of their gender, race and class.
The younger family current condition and living condition motivated ,to get a house in a all white neighborhood knowing that her family wouldn’t like it. Living in poverty motivated him to attempt to open his own liquor store. Beneathas current condition based on society stereotype when to simply be a nurse motivated her to go to school to be a doctor. Lastly, Ruth current condition of living in poverty with a new baby motivated her to compromise with the new living conditions. The character reached their goals in many different ways some admirable and some dishonorable. Walter reached his goal and a dishonorable way, he did this by giving the rest of the money from mamas check to willy
Walter attempted to reach his goals , but really didn't succeed, by quitting drinking so mama could trust him. Walter didn't reach his goal of the liquor store because of the lost of the money. Beneatha went to school to attempt to achieve her goals but was soon ruined by walter when he lost all the money. Although, Beneath didn't reach her goal because of the mistake that walter made it was all worth it in the end when Asagai asked her to marry him so one of her goals were reached. Mama reached her goal of getting her family together by buying a house in clybourne park knowing her family would be upset about it. Mamas goals was very achieving her family compromised with knowing that the house was in a all white neighborhood this provide that her family was coming together like she'd wanted it to. Last, Ruth goal to get her own house was achieving with the help of mama and the baby. Each character had very different dreams but it all tied up with the American Dream they all wanted to be better from living, money, and
