Walter attempted to reach his goals , but really didn't succeed, by quitting drinking so mama could trust him. Walter didn't reach his goal of the liquor store because of the lost of the money. Beneatha went to school to attempt to achieve her goals but was soon ruined by walter when he lost all the money. Although, Beneath didn't reach her goal because of the mistake that walter made it was all worth it in the end when Asagai asked her to marry him so one of her goals were reached. Mama reached her goal of getting her family together by buying a house in clybourne park knowing her family would be upset about it.
