Raisin The Sun By Lorraine Hansberry

In the play Raisin the Sun, by Lorraine Hansberry, The family “Youngers” should take the money because it will make their lives better. The money given to them will create more pride and care for everyone. The family is going through tough times because they don't have a lot of money, therefore they could really use the money to support everyone so they have a nice life. In the play i agree with the option of getting the money and using it to support the entire family so they live in pride and joy without living in the white community.

If they chose to take the money and leave the community it would help them alot because the area they live in they in is a bunch of racist people, and if i was living in an era with racist people and living in a white community while being black i would take the money leave and be comfortable somewhere else with money to keep everyone in their pride and joy. “Still we can see that at one time a time probably remembered by the family”.This could give them to live in a dream place with the chance of there kids to play in a yard with no worry in there mind about struggling to live and being out of the white community.
The mood of everyone's dreams have gone away and the pride goes away as the years go on so living in a small house around white communities is not how they want to live because they are already uncomfortable as it is. They all feel trapped inside and their poverty make them have a small sense of living because all they have a tiny light that comes through and gives them no production to do anything. “All pretenses but living itself have long since vanished”. Everyone's lives are being trampled through if they don't decide to take the money and go to a dream
