Medical reasons to support that the drinking age should rise: including the maturity of young adults and also the maturity of an older person for example according to the Australian national health and medical council almost two-thirds (63 per cent) of drinkers aged 18 to 24 years say they drink alcohol to get drunk and one third (35 per cent) report not being able to stop drinking once they’d started. More than a third (39 per cent) is unable to remember what happened the night of a big drinking session on the other hand results show that 60-70 per cent of people aged between 26 to 32 drinks to relax and socialize.
