Introduction
The Ramayana is one of the India's priceless epic that provides insights into many aspects of Indian culture and still today influences the politics, religion and art of modern India. It is the immortal tale of Shri Rama that teaches us the values of ideology, devotion, duty, relationships, dharma and karma.
The hero, Rama, lived his whole life by the rules of dharma; in fact, that was why Indian consider him heroic. When Rama was a young boy, he was the perfect son. Later he was an ideal husband to his faithful wife, Sita, and a responsible ruler of Aydohya.

Though the Ramayanaya primarily orginated in hindu religious tradition, it also exists in other versions within some Buddhist and other Asian religious traditions. There are texts of Ramayana in several regional languages, including Sanskrit, Chinese, Thai, Telugu, Bengali, Kashmiri, and Tamil. The Ramayana story combines magic, fantasy, romance and adventure as it recounts the life of Rama,the Hindu god Vishnu, his brother Lakshmana. his wife Sita, his opponent Ravana, , and an army of monkeys loyal to Rama led by Hanuman. It has remained a vital story through the present time in India, and is widely accepted as a religious text among Hindus.
Valmiki's Ramayana, is the oldest edition of Ramayana and is the source of all Ramayana’s that is relevant in various cultures. This text survives in numerous complete and partial manuscripts; the oldest existing is dated from the eleventh century. The current text of Valmiki Ramayana has come down to us in two local versions from north and south of India. Valmiki Ramayana has been traditionally divided into seven books, dealing with the life of Rama from his birth to death namely: Bala Kanda , Ayodhya Kanda ,Aranya , Kishkindha Kanda , Sundara , Yuddha Kanda and Uttarakhanda.
