Randi Diabo, Class of 2014, B.S in Electrical Engineering
Randi is from the Kahnawake Mohawk Territory, a reservation which runs along the St Lawrence river on the south shore of Montreal, QC. The Mohawk are one of the original Five Nations of the Iroquois, located in upstate New York, southern Quebec and eastern Ontario. She enlisted in the United States Marine Corps at the age of 17 and served 4 years of active duty, stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC and completing 2 tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. She was honorably discharged in August 2009.
As she was preparing to leave the military, she knew two things: she wanted to use her GI Bill to attend college and she wanted to live in Vermont! She began taking evening classes at Franklin
