Rap Bad Influence
Rap music isn't music,some will say and have been saying for years hip hop and rap aren't good for you.It's just propaganda to promote violence,drugs,alcohol(etc…). According to Davey D, his article “Is Rap Actually Music or is it a Bad Influence” he states that “88% percent of the rap music that is currently on the top lists around the world contains violence. They glorify the acts of beating up another person, or even worse shooting them. Looking like someone who just got released from prison in their eyes is a good thing. Not to mention that half of the time they are yelling their lyrics in such a loud and annoying way you may not be able to really understand what they are saying”. With that being said hiphop/rap music is very influential but in all of the wrong ways because its corrupting young kids minds making it seem that life is suppose to be like a rap music video , that isnt art its corruption. Portraying gang violence such as wearing colors of said gang,having pants below waist,using gang related words that isn't art it an outbreak of intolerance.

    Hip hop serves as a form of unity and a crutch for some. Kids tend to always be looking for an adult figure in their life. Some have many others have none, but just about all look up to those in media. Rappers are a part of a multi-billion dollar industry their reach stretches from clothing to cars. For some the music that they can identify with the most is a way for other to connect. Much like people connect through sports or other interests, hip hop serves as the same tool. Friendships form through these social bonds provided by the music of this genre. With the formation of these friendships they often lead to positive results.
