Let’s talk about the extreme of excess first. Extreme of excess is having too much which per Aristotle it’s a character flaw. The first virtue is courage which has an extreme of excess as rash (person). Rash per Aristotle is known to be too brave, which means having too much braveness inside, as a virtuous person would have less and/or an equal amount of brave (courage). Also, a rash (person) is more than hasty without though. “…rash people are impetuous, wishing for danger before they arrive, but they shrink from them they come” (Aristotle, 42) Rash people want the danger and problems but once they really must face it they cannot. Therefore, they are often called a boaster, where the person imitates being brave or they are called a pretender. Example on how this could be shown is how I don’t tell me family about an illness or my financial problems because I don’t think it’s not as bad as it is, also that I can handle everything on my own. I don’t need anyone around me to help me. But in contrary I can’t handle everything once I must start facing the problem, I become a rash person believing that I can handle everything on my own but in reality I can’t. I can act hastily without thought by tell everything is fine when isn’t and tell them that they can stop asking and worrying about
