Ratchett Research Paper

Hercule Poirot plays the part of a private detective and retired Belgian police officer, he gets on a Taurus Express train to Stamboul who is caught up in a murder of a man named Ratchett . A piece of paper with the word Armstrong on it helps Poirot figure out who Ratchett really is and why someone would want to murder him. A few years back, a man named Cassetti kidnapped a three year old girl, named Daisy Armstrong. He collected a ransom from the Armstrong family, and killed her. Poirot concludes that Ratchett is actually Cassetti. He must have changed his name while he was on the run. This all takes place on a train that is stuck in a blizzard. So they think it will be easy to catch this person.. Seeing how this murder takes place on a train,
they have to investigate twelve passengers. So Poirots plan is to investigate everyone, one by one and ask them what they were around the time of the murder, what they had to do with Ratchett, did they like him or hate him? Did anyone go into his room?. The advantages it gives him are that there on a train which makes it easier to break down who killed Ratchett. It also lets him know what kind of people are on the train, how they act and their intentions on Ratchett. The thing that makes it complicated is the fact that people could provide alibis for each other because there all to close, and the fact because sometimes people don’t lock or bolt the compartment doors. Poirot asks everyone to let him go through their luggage to find some evidence. Unfortunately him and his colleagues didn’t find anything. Which makes it harder for them. So there must be somewhere that this evidence is hiding. Poirot thought it would be easy to find the murder but it wasn’t easy because it turned out that everyone killed Ratchett. They took turns twelve stabs and twelve passengers.
