Dracula is a blood sucking, devious, evil vampire that many people have heard of. Dracula is known for being a fictional character, but Dracula was actually based off of a real person. Vlad III, Prince of Wallachia, was the person behind the cruel Dracula. Every person feels rivalry or competition towards others at some point in their lives. This rivalry greatly affects our ability to understand others, and this eventually results in paranoia and hostility. It is a part of human nature, that people coldly drive ahead for their gain alone. Man's inhumanity towards man is a way for people to protect themselves from having pain inflicted on them by others, and achieving their goals and desires without the interference of others. This concept of man's inhumanity to man is developed in A Separate Peace as the primary conflict in the novel centres on the main character, Gene, and his inner-battles with feelings of jealousy, paranoia, and inability to understand his relationship with his best friend Phineas. Competition is further demonstrated by the occurrence of World War II. It is shown that, "There were few relationships among us (the students) at Devon not based on rivalry." (p. 37) It is this rivalry and competition between the boys at Devon that ripped their friendships apart.…

Ralph Ellison made it clear that Invisible Man was not based on his own experiences. In an interview, he stated, “Let me say right now that my book is not an autobiographical work.” However, it is clear that his culture and the time period of his upbringing affected his writing. What are the most popular reasons for a gang violence? I really dislike the thought of fighting and being cruel to another person, it makes me wonder why there’s so much violence by gangs and sometimes within the same gang. To stop worldwide gang violence we should understand why it gets started in the first place. Gang violence doesn’t just affect the actual gangs, it affects their family members and the people and places around them, if we understand it first, we can come up with ideas to stop it. Gang violence isn’t just a local issue, it’s global too. My hypothesis is that one of the reasons is that gangs want to control more ground area, like more of a city or neighborhood and are willing to fight other gangs…

The feud that takes place between the Montagues and the Capulets seems to be what is responsible for the deaths that take place throughout the play. First off, the feud causes Tybalt to lash out at Romeo, Benvolio and Mercutio throughout the play, which causes Mercutio’s death. Also, Romeo and Juliet would not have to hide their love, causing the Friar to devise a scheme to keep them together that causes the couple to die. Another theory to prove this statement is that if there were no feud, the couple would not be joined together because of the fact that the Friar only married them to end the feud. As a result of these key events it is concluded that the feud is responsible for the deaths in the story of Romeo and Juliet.…
