Raymond Carver's Short Story Cathedral
Raymond Carver’s short story “Cathedral” has a very straight forward plot; A judgmental man meets his wife’s close friend who is in fact blind. Uncomfortable with this fact he spends a good portion of the time being rude, but towards the end this “blind man” ends up teaching the narrator what it really means to see.

One thing i like about this story, is the fact that it says more with less wording. I like the fact that you get such a clear picture, but not so detailed to the fact were you start wondering what the story is actually about. I could easily identify the plot, i knew exactly what was going on. I was fascinated by the way all the characters interacted and there was moment that was insanely detailed but all to a certain extent. The
