reaction paper (natl museum)
Reaction paper to the National Museum of the Philippines
The outside architecture of the museum says it all. It was built really for a special reason. And that reason is to be a home to our country’s most phenomenal items like paintings made by our national artists, fossils of our great ancestors and many more. And as I tour the inside of it, the more I understand things my MAKABAYAN, SIBIKA, A.P. and HISTORY teachers are saying. It really helps a lot in my understanding. It’s like coming alive from our books. In here you can see it more closely and you can really appreciate it. Unlike in our books, it’s really boring. Now I understand why many of us think that History is a boring subject. You really need to visit what our books and teachers are talking about. It really changed my perception about History Subject. Now I have more appreciation for museums. I also like the cleanliness of the museum. It adds on the beauty of the museum. Also the staff was dedicated and nice. I also enjoyed touring because of the airconditioning of the museum. It was not cheap. But I noticed that there are empty rooms. I also noticed a good thing that there were renovations being made. I hope the government does not forget to give importance to our national museum. But one thing I do not like is the cost of the museum. It’s too much for a museum. I think it should be free for all, so that everybody can appreciate it. But to end up my reaction paper, I’m really glad to see the inside of the national museum. Not only my perception changed but also it’s a great learning experience for me.

To achieve educational and social role, the theming method implemented in the museum stand for an additional layer in the site to generate educational, effective and emotional visiting experience (Oren and Shani, 2012). This implementation of theming is expressed successfully through the rebuilding of new visitor’s center (Mevoah) in the museum (figure 3), which is an arcaded concrete pavilion roofed by trellises and skylight, and cast ever-changing shadow patterns. Besides the Mevoah, a new history museum replaced the previous museum constructed in 1953 (Figure 4), and galleries for Holocaust art, a Hall of Names, a synagogue; a visual and learning canter and an exhibitions pavilion are included in the new design (Safdie Architects, 2011). A network of sky lit underground galleries lines both sides of the…

Romeo is an essential character worth analyzing in William Shakespeare's famous play, Romeo and Juliet. One way to describe Romeo is determined. Throughout Act 1 in the play at and after the party, he is determined to get Juliet. “What lady’s that, which doth enrich the hand of yonder knight?” (I.ib.46-47) In this line, Romeo is a the party and it is “love at first sight.” Romeo is very in love with Juliet. When Romeo first sees her at the Capulet ball, he completely forgets about Rosaline and falls in love with Juliet at first sight. When he meets her, Romeo quotes, “My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand to smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss” (I.iv.97-98). By this line, Romeo is discussing how each of his lips is ready to kiss Juliet. Romeo is so much in love with Juliet that he becomes very romantic forgetting all about Rosaline. Romeo marries Juliet in secret, and even eventually kills himself because he thinks that she is dead. Elizabeth Bishop’s “The Hanging of the Mouse”, places animals in the roles of humans in reference to an execution. The writer uses animals to replace humans to possibly convey a message or point of view towards the death penalty. In the story, the mouse is being executed for what we believe is some sort of crime. It isn’t clear whether or not the mouse actually committed a crime, but we are led to believe that an act occurred in which caused the mouse to be executed on this particular day.…
