Real Courage Definition Essay

There are many different definitions of the word courage. It is a term that you hear many different times from many different types of people. Every time you hear the word it has a different meaning or is viewed in a different sense. Looking at it what is something that can define what is an agreeable sense of real courage. Real courage can be described by three different traits that hopefully everyone can agree on. Those three traits are strength, wisdom, and love. Strength is the first characteristic of real courage because it is the one that has the most definition to it. Strength can be characterized itself into different types, such as mental, physical, and emotional. Mental strength when used as courage is being able to do something
Love is very much like courage in which it can be viewed differently by everyone that uses the word. Kinds of love that are shown as courage are the protective kind, the sacrificial kind, and the experimental kind. Protective love causes people to be courageous enough to go into battle or a form of conflict in order to protect someone else. Sacrificial love is courageous but also seen as blind naivete depending on the situation because it cost the life of one to protect another. Experimental love ties closely with wisdom because it is the love of experimenting with things in order to find something new that requires someone to be courageous enough to attempt something that they may not believe in. All three of these traits closely intertwine with each other because they are all closely related. Courage is defined by wisdom, love, and strength. These three are the defining characteristics between courage and naiveness. Naive people are normally the opposite of courageous people however they can be one in the same. Due to the fine line between the two people may argue they are the same or the opposite of each other.
