After a short and brief anchor introduction WGN’s, Erik Runge, tells his story on the upcoming bad allergy season through a donut live shot. In his introduction live shot, Runge stumbles a bit, but then quickly recovers from it by restating the word and pretending like it never happened. Runge’s b-roll video that was shot in the same perimeter just through different angles around the same lake area in Lincoln Park was lacking and did not compliment the story well at all. Some close up b-roll on growing plants was more effective than the other videos because it represented pollen, a main cause of allergies. Runge also only followed around one allergy victim who did not have many powerful things to say beyond the obvious negative comments on…

When building many of the castles in the 1300-1400’s the main purpose was to keep the enemies out and of course for conquest. In the video I watched, the Forbidden Knowledge video, they called out some very key point of why and how these fortresses and castles where erected and defended. Not only where there kings of the lands, but then each of those lands were divided up to noble kin and lords. They were always trying to better there futures with more land, even if that included killing your own cousin to get his piece of land. One great example of an intuitive fortress, Caesar had made a donut shaped fortress at one point around a small town; he shut out and was starving the people in the town and then also keeping out the men that were…

Crime is a genre that often times follows an often times intelligent, malicious criminal. But simply following this generic guideline does not define a crime movie, there are defining factors that make a crime movie. In order for a crime movie to be effective it must have a criminal with a motive. A criminal and his motive are important for a criminal movie to have because it a lot of times serves as the basis for the movie to build on. The next important criteria is a setting, a proper setting enables the movie to invoke a subliminal feeling before the movie incorporates…

Lady Gaga came into performance after her first album “The Fame” was released in 2008. It included the hit “Bad Romance” and that album sold over 15 million copies worldwide. Gaga is also recognized for her unique sense of fashion, Performance, and music videos. She was included in Times annual list of the most influential people in the world. Forbes also placed her in number seven in their annual’s list of the world’s 100 most powerful women. Bad Romance was one of her first music videos, it is a very symbolic and it has many hidden messages. In this music video Gaga describes the dark side of the music industry symbolically by representing herself as a sex slave. The main message in this music video is, Gaga is willing to do anything in order to get into the music industry, even if that means she’ll become a sex slave. Listening to the song itself makes us think that she is in love with some psycho, but watching the video makes it clear that, in fact she is in love with the fame that she will get in the music industry. There were many technical features in it like filming and also the fact that it was so influenced by fashion. Another thing would be the content of the video which actually represented Gaga and the women with her as sex slaves. One other thing to consider would be the story of the video and how it illustrates the lyrics of the song in an odd way.…
