Reasons Behind South Carolina's Secession
In this paper, I will respond to South Carolina’s reasoning behind why they seceded from the Union. With the legal justifications, they had behind it. Including the historical context behind South Carolina’s Declaration. Including why it is important to have an understanding of various viewpoints.
South Carolina’s Articles of Secession, is the “Declaration of the immediate causes which induce and Justify the Secession from the Federal Union” issued on December 24, 1860, by South Carolinas government.In order for them to explain their reasons for seceding from the United States following Abraham Lincolns election in November of 1860 with his strongly opposing platform against slavery in United States territory.
