Reasons Why Islam Spread So Quickly?
The question I have been asked to answer is, Why is Islam spread so quickly? The reason why I believe makes Islam spread so quickly is because of travel, the conquering or overtaking of cites or civilization, and the last reason is trade. Let me just start off by saying that the Islamic religion is monotheistic, which means they only truly believed in one god. The god that the Islamic people believed in was Allah. So first of I'm going to start out with, why travel made the Islam religion spread quickly. While going on ships transporting goods or moving to a new place, the people would often share with or teach others their religion. So when the people aboard the boat who knew or had heard about the religion had a chance to either change or
choose a religion. The people who traveled more than likely got off at different civilizations and shared their new learned religion with others. For my second reason I chose the conquering or the overtaking of cities or civilizations. Sometimes the people thought their religion was the best and there was no other greater, so in this case the people of Islam would invade the land. During this the people would be forced to convert to Islam and forced to worship their god Allah. If anyone was caught not worshiping the god, Allah, they would be punished for their wrongdoings, in the eyes of the Islams. The last reason in my opinion why the Islamic religion spread quickly is through trade. When the Islam people traded they traded more than goods they also shared their religion. Since the Islamic people believed that their religion was the best they thought they would share their great knowledge with whomever they traded to. Some of the traders liked this religion and went home and shared it with other, if it was at home with their families or out with their friends. These three ways that I have just shared with you aren't all the ways, these are just some of them. Sometimes the religion was forced upon people weather it meant being violent or nonviolent. Their religion was more than a religion to the Islams, it was a way of life, it was how they lived their daily life.
