Reasons Why The Poor Hunted In The Middle Ages

In the Middle Ages, the poor peasants went hungry many times while the royalty ate well. Fifty percent of the people were poor as the rest was royalty. The poor cooked all there food themselves. The poor people would eat mainly barley. Sometimes they turned their barley into bread and sometimes into pancakes orpizzas. They also make barley porridge or they would make soup out of barley. The poor people didn’t have enough food because they didn’t have all lot money. The poor hunted for some of their foods. Since they didn’t have money theymade their own with poor things. Usually the poor people where kind of everyone who wasn’t royalty, or knights. In the middle ages, the royalty always had food at the table while the poor people starved.
The royalty had all lot of servants to do special things like pour water, wine, beer, they also cooking servants,cleaning servants, meat servants and many more to do dumb things that are easy to do. Many royalty were fat it was fine ,because that meant they were have big meals. Back then if you were fat that meant you were rich and if you were thin it meant you were poor.In the middle ages, only upper classes had the money tobuy the food. And the poor couldn’t even afford to pay for the spices. So as I said they hunted and tried everything just to have food in the table. The royalty had the money to buy good food from other places. Since they could afford it they usually threw feasts to celebrate. The feast was usually huge and the person who normally threw the feast was the royalty. Sometimes the poor were invited to the feast too. But, the feast tables were always divided by the people and the royalty. The royalty usually got served the really goodies as the poor and others were giving the alright foods. The foods looked amazing but the truth is it wasn’t as clean as today.
