Reclaimed Water Argument

Throughout history, water has always been a major resource in the world. Research has shown that a person could survive three weeks without eating but drinking is a different story. Nowadays, water resources have started to decrease because the level of consumption keeps getting higher, resulting in drought and low quality water around the world. To deal with this problem, several alternative water sources have been proposed. Seawater Desalination and Reclaimed Water are the two alternative water sources that could become a solution to our water scarcity problem. Recycling water is a process where effluents are transferred through pipes to recycled water plants for treatment, when all the harmful chemicals are removed from the water, the new
water will then be usable. On the other hand, Seawater Desalination is a process where dissolved salts are removed from seawater and then that seawater is converted into usable water. Figure 1 and figure 2 below show the process of recycling water and the process of desalination respectively
