One being that he is uncomfortable when he is placed in an unknown location “ I am a creature of nooks and tunnels and shafts. The mine is my home, and part of me wants to run to safety, run from this alien room of living things”(Brown 31), this is easily related to since we have all been somewhere new and don't feel comfortable. For instance, not many people would feel comfortable going out randomly to a baseball game with their principal. I can guess that the uncomfort stems from not experiencing the situation before. Along with this, Darrow also related to our class on a bigger level. Prior to the drafting of student’s, Darrow must study and train so he is able to compete with the best and be noticed. This is greatly like a classroom, every student studies and tries their best so they are able to get a good mark and then impress a university or college.
