The redactive poem I wrote about, is inspired by a page in the wonderful novel “All the Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr. The main theme of it is that sometimes things or situations are not what they seem to appear. During the time of the war many presious artifacts, such as jewles, were stolen or loss forever. In this particular case, Marie and her father are constantly on the look out for a presious dimond called The Sea of Flames. The jewle was one of antique and elegance, said to be carried only by kings. Everyone wanted the stone, but each king that got to own it, ended up regreting it at the end. No one could expect this magnifisent jem to be filled of such darkness. Like in the poem, as it was passed on by fighting for generations, the Sea of Flames would blind its victem. It made them belive that no one in three hundred dozen people could have the opportunity to lay hands on this tresure, much less own it. By the time the held it in their hands, it was too late. Each owner would have a diffrent story of tragic events that ocured to them while having this stone. The problem is that they woudn-t dispose of it approprietly, rather just trough it out in hopes of it ending its enchantment apon them. So sooner or later another blinded soul in late history would find it and fall into the jewles charm. The purpose of this poem is to redact an important theme that goes throughout this book. Stating that some times even the most beautiful things, and the hardest to get, could be the main reason someone might end up losing everything else they loved. Reminding us that sometimes things are not what they appear to be, and all our sacrifice and potential, could be wasted if not careful. Like in the novel Marie-s father, would make sure that the jem would arrive safley to London, and without thinking about his daughhter, he risked it all and ended up losing what is
