“The Parable of the Tenants”!
!
The main message of this Parable is that all people should follow the 10
commandments. No one ever has the right to kill another man, even if it is out of vengeance, “Therefore, I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people that will produce its fruit. (Matt 21:43)” This shows us that Jesus wishes for no one to kill others, God will deal with murders at the judgment gate. People who break the 10 commandments will not go to heaven, so there is no need to punish them on Earth.!
!
This statement shows us that Jesus will not stand for hurting another human. He
has high moral grounds because even when faced against people that deserve to be punished, he shows temperance and decides to let God take care of the sinners of the world. “Hear another parable. There was a landowner who planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it, dug a wine press in it, and built a tower. Then he leased it to tenants and went on a journey. (Matt 21:33)” Also, this excerpt shows it that Jesus will not stand for greedy people and thieves, for they will not be taken into the kingdom of God.!
!
I think this passage shows the Cardinal Virtues of Prudence, Justice, and
Temperance. “They answered hum, ‘He will put those wretched men to a wretched death and lease his vineyard to other tenants who will give him the produce at the piper times. (Matt 21:41)” I believe this passage displays Prudence because although the tenants killed all of the servants and the man’s son, Jesus tells the audience who said the quote above that the man should act with Prudence and make the right decision even though he was greatly sinned against. I also think Temperance is shown because
Jesus tells everyone to stay calm during the whole ordeal and to not act in anger, but to think everything out before doing it. Finally, I think Justice was shown because Jesus told the people there that the tenants who sinned
