weakness that I still have also yet to understand is avoiding fragments. I had that problem last semester and I guess I have yet to comprehend it. The last weakness is trying to stop using vague usage and explain myself better. It is just so easy to put simple explanations. Once again, I believe I am subconsciously doing it. So you should not blame me for something I do not know I am doing, just saying. I do know that I can start a paper and keep my readers somewhat entertained. I mean, come on it is writing we are talking about. I can only do so much before I lose my readers. Most would stay around because I am pretty good with my thesis, so it sets up readers to believe that they are in for a great read. I can also make my paper flow, so readers do not get lost or wander like we all know we want to do when reading each other’s paper. Then my biggest issue that I finally conquered and I am quite proud of myself for doing is closing a paper with a bang. I have learned even though I start out a paper strong does not mean you cannot end it strong. It is like I am about to lose the reader and then they’re pulled back in and ending up enjoying what they have read. Now how to fix those errors and make me an outstanding writer.
When I do that, I know that going to school actually did some improvement on who I am. Probably the easiest way is going to the CRC lab and having others peer edit my papers. I actually had to do this in my first writing class for a grade. I really did not want to go, because I am kind of a nervous person going into new things. After I finally built up the courage to go, I was relieved and glad I did. They are very helpful and quite knowledgeable. Mrs. Varrasso is also a fantastic way to get help, even on papers from other classes. I have seen her help many students and she is proud to help. She actually makes writing enjoyable, and we all know how hard that can be. To see someone so enthused makes it so much easier to approach and help with errors and weakness that I have. I know that she will easily help me and make me become a better writer, which is my goal for the end of this
semester. In the ending, I am actually a little surprised. It seems as if I have a little more strengths than weaknesses which I think is a good way to start the semester. I would rather be leaning towards the good side than the bad. So I do not have as much to battle through to become a achieved writer. So after going to CRC lab and using Mrs. Varrasso, I believe I will accomplish my goal and become a skilled writer.
