1. My subtopic: New inventions & Assembly line ,I know that the new inventions topic we learned about it in class. We learned that the Model T was created by Henry Ford because he wanted to have a practical car, at a price that average North Americans could afford. I also learned that the assembly line was set up by Herny Ford, to make a car. The car was assembled on the conveyer belt so when it moved new parts were added to the frame by workers who stayed in one place. By the time when the car had gotten to the end the car had been on what is call the- assembly-line.
2. I choose the subtopic because I had background knowledge from the in class sheets. The sheets had information on who invented the inventions, why was it created, and what impact did it have on Canada in the 1920's. The in-class sheets were helpful because knowing I had already some information on the new inventions, and assembly line the topic would be a lot easier to research on.
3. My subtopics relate to the topic as a whole because , the radio not being affordable in general the reason was that consumerism hadn't a rose therefore the assembly line made the affordability of the modern day radio is truly what created large advertising, and made consumerism rise. This impacted the construction of Canadian identity because it changed the way people bought items in reference to the prices.
4. Yes the impact is definitely visible because back then radio's were a huge luxury, but now radio's are out, the internet is in. The internet wasn't as famous 20-25 years ago but now it is because of consumerism. Another example is that the radio is in use in your phones, or electronic devices which make the radio easily accessible. The radio is in use in some parts of the rural area I think. The impact of the inventions such as the ford model T still is visible because the company now has made a variety of cars based on the Model T.
5. I plan to research all the notes from the text book,
