Hi! My name is Rajasekar Chellappa and I live in Tauranga which is the capital of Kiwi fruit in New Zealand. Actually I come from another city Banagalore, where I lived for 45 years, but two years ago, i decided to migrate to New Zealand, i moved to Tauranga . I have a daughter – Rani. She is 25 and she had been to Sweden two years ago and now she studies medicine at the Madras Medical College.
My wife used to teach at the University and now, she works as a medical professional .
I’m interested in computer science, music, and history literature. Computers first appered in my life when I was 25. Then I had got my first computer and I remember myself thinking, that it was the best thing in the world. I was playing it whenever I could. Then I had got my first PC. At first, I was just playing computer games, but some time later, I noticed that I could do a lot more things with the computer, for example programming. Now, I can already programue in Pascal, C++ and HTML. I have my own site on the internet and I have done many programes.
In fact it was early 1980 when i got my first oppurtune moment to appear in preliminary test to qualify for enterence in Indian Institute of Engineering New Delhi, i still wonder how i managed to get it through and still amazing was that i cleared it in 1984.Four years of study appeared to me as if i had just joined the institute recently. The event of graduation ceremonie follwed series of intresting happening ,little did i realise that i am destined to join a team of brillent young people working on Radio detection and ranging technology .
In India era of 80’s was still developing PNP junction based electronic products, leaving behind anode diode based tubes used in radio. Revisiting those moments now fills me with great joy and kind of happiness that i find hard to express in words, it was unique for that age and happennings.little did i knew then that this journey is going to take me across continent far away
