Reflection On National Honor Society
My community involvement includes volunteer work through National Honor Society. A yearly activity that I assisted in starting for National Honor Society includes the canned food drive where we have averaged collecting around 400 cans a year for the local food pantry. I was also the master of ceremony at the Veterans Day Assembly this year and lead the rest of the members in the ceremony. Through National Honor Society, I singlehandedly started a Cardiac Ball and a Red Out at a basketball game at Durant High School where the proceeds went straight to the American Heart Association.
