MY REFLECTION
I choose Social Science as my major because I wanted to know a lot more about the field of economics and our history not only our history but the history of the whole world which made me get the WHISCVI1 subject, In this subject the use of technology was demanded. There were multiple assignments, quizzes, and reports. Using powerpoint presentation as our visual aids in sharing our knowledge is very important. Incorporating the use of technology made the subject interesting. At first I was so nervous about how is this going to be, because this is a six unit subject, yet I’m excited on the things I would learn.. Like the beginnings of a country, civil wars and lots of wars that had happened.
During my prelim days in WHISCVI class, it occurred to me that although many ancient civilizations established far apart and independent from each other, yet somehow we can trace evidences showing us that their cultures, beliefs, world views, traditions are somewhat similar to one another. I am very interested in discovering more details about when those ancient civilizations was formed, the people at that time did not have effective contact methods like us today, so How did they know that there are people living on the other side? How did they invent things? What comes to their mind to do certain things? How do they praise their God? In order to figure this out, we need to dig deep in to history of mankind, and it will take whole lot more than 2 pages to discuss. So today I will only focus on our coverage this term.
Our instructor asked us “why do we study the history?” My answer was… we study the history to know about our beginnings and how things started. Since our subject is World History and Civilization I, we would tackle about the history of the world and how it started to be civilized.
First, we focused more on the start of Civilization in the world. The topic was about the cradle of
