Reflections for Team Working
Individual behaviour can potentially have an impact on the performance of the team.
When individuals become aware of their own strengths and abilities, and understand the role that he or she is capable of playing within a team, it helps them to deal better with the demands of the team environment.

I was part of a team that came together to devise a poster and a 20 minute presentation explaining the poster, that would explain barriers to group communication while also entertain in a humorous way. On reflection I can identify that some the team actually fell into the team roles .

In analysing my work, I feel that this assignment compelled me to find inspiration from so many various sources, subsequently building on my practical knowledge. Therefore I feel I have gained and developed many skills in terms of my own personal creativity and development.

While working as a team to create are poster, I became inspired by the others ideas, which in turn allowed me to come up with more ideas and thoughts of my own. I learned when working as a team you feed off one another’s ideas. “Two heads are better than one”.

I thoroughly enjoyed constructing the poster with the other members and on reflection I feel the poster and presentation was successful, in terms of it being well planned and in terms of realisation of our concept.

I feel the images on the poster successfully visually represent and envoke the bullet points, most importantly, our ideas.

We were really pushed to think conceptually and found this project challenging, enjoyable and, most importantly, a significant step in furthering our creativity and team work skills, and hope this is reflected visually through our work.

Overall, what I discovered from this project is the importance of a schedule. We had to set a proper timetable and follow it. We also need to fully consider things before we actually do them, as otherwise we would lost and lose inspiration. Finally, reflecting on the positive

My first objective in leading the team to achieve success and run like a will oiled machine would be to decide what needs to be done and order to accomplish the tasks in. Next I would devise a plan of action to lead the team in a particular direction based on objectives established by superiors. Policies would be established or enforced to help the group stay on target. Continually plan ahead focusing on all possible scenarios, aspects, and possible crises to help be prepared and revise and adjust plans as necessary. The revision of my plans would enable me to enact a change of action, by selecting alternative solutions to the problems as they arise.…

I guess for me I am struggling with how to forecast and predict what is important enough to know what criteria is relevant information to use for the success of my organization. Since I only work in one area of the whole organization how do you predict when you are not privy to important information to know what direction to go in. I am hoping to learn how to think way outside the box and be able to see the bigger picture. One question I do have though will the company be as successful if I only concentrate on the success of the area I work in? I get how strategic management can be beneficial to an organization, and I get how ethics should play a role as well. I see the way people have done wrong actions in a company is almost like having cancer in your organization. It can slowly take over or be swift and destroy a organization. I see both issues in my work place. People riding the cuff of what is wrong behavior and out right breaking the rules. All of that behavior disrupts the goal of the organization to run effectively and efficiently. Looking forward to further discussions.…
